I am a Full Professor at the Department of Applied Economics of HEC Montréal, the business school affiliated with the Université de Montréal. I am also the scientific director of the Retirement and Savings Institute and holder of the Power Corporation of Canada Chair in Employer-Employee Dynamics, Earnings and Benefits, both at HEC Montréal.

I chair the Canadian Statistical Advisory Council (CSAC) and am a Fellow of the IZA Network at LISER and at CIRANO.

My research focuses on labor economics, with particular interests in statistical models for linked employer-employee data, returns to human capital, firm-sponsored training, productivity, turnover, and labour reallocation.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University in 2001.
